Larimar Stones
Every Larimar stone is unique. We source directly from the mines of Barahona and classify by color and pattern — so you always know exactly what you're buying.
The rarest blue in the world
Larimar is a rare blue variety of pectolite found only in one location on Earth — the mountains of Barahona, in the Dominican Republic. Its color ranges from pale sky blue to deep ocean turquoise, shaped by trace amounts of copper and vanadium and the precise hydrothermal conditions under which each stone crystallized.
Did you know? The mine where Larimar is found sits at over 3,000 feet in the Sierra de Bahoruco mountains. It was officially rediscovered in 1974, though local legend says people have known about the blue stone for centuries.
No two Larimar stones are identical. The patterns — swirling whites, deep blues, pale clouds — are formed naturally over millions of years. This is what makes each piece of LARIMARÉ jewelry irreplaceable.
Ocean Blue
The most vivid Larimar. Deep, saturated turquoise with strong blue tones. These are the most sought-after stones for high-end jewelry.
